Safeguarding
We have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of our students. We have developed a safeguarding policy that aims to meet these duties. You can also view our safeguarding procedure.
The policy covers abuse and neglect, prevention of bullying, harassment and discrimination, dealing with attendance issues and meeting the needs of sick students and security and providing help and support to anyone at risk of being drawn into extremism and radicalisation. The safeguarding policy is available on the college website.
If you as a student, have any concerns about your wellbeing, safety or rights or if you are worried about someone else, contact the safeguarding team on 0117 312 5733 or at safeguardingteam@cityofbristol.ac.uk. Alternatively, speak to a member of staff who you trust who will contact them for you. A member of the safeguarding team will listen to your concerns and support you to stay safe.
We treat all our students with the respect they deserve. We expect our students to show the maturity and responsibility of adults when they are at City of Bristol College.
Please refer to the ‘Keeping you safe while you are at College’ leaflet which can be found at any college reception and our Safeguarding Procedures.
